Mayank Makhija is a photojournalist and documentary photographer based in New Delhi working on reportage, human rights, environment, and social issues across India.
Mayank Makhija is a talented freelance visual storyteller who has been creating compelling photo and video narratives for the past four years. He has collaborated with various publications and agencies such as the national daily Times of India, Al Jazeera, AFP, AP, PTI, and NUR Photos Agency, among others. His work has been featured in numerous prestigious publications including the NY Times, TIME, The Guardian, BBC News, Le Monde, NPR, CNN, Deutsche Welle, Getty Images, and Caravan Magazine. He is currently seeking new opportunities that can challenge him creatively and is eager to produce fresh content that goes beyond news-based stories.
Makhija's work has been exhibited at various locations including #CreateCOP28 Virtual Show (2023), Expanded/Pathshala South Asian Media Institute in Dhaka (2022), Copeland Gallery/Peckham 24 in London (2021), Iran Artist Forum/24HourProject in Tehran (2019), MF Husain Art Gallery/JMI in New Delhi (2019) and SACAC in New Delhi (2018).
